07-23-2004 Williams' spot in the Formula One pecking-order is the result of a badly 'organised package,' according to former Jaguar F1 principal Niki Lauda. The Austrian, also a former triple world champion, said it was Sir Frank Williams' mistake to lose both regular race drivers to rival teams in '05. And to turn-up at round-eleven with both drivers already under contract to a team competitor is 'not a very good basis,' the TV commentator told Reuters. He said having one so emotional - like Juan Pablo Montoya - is even 'worse.' Colombian-born Montoya said at Hockenheim that his Williams team track testing duties are already a little 'restricted' but he insisted it is not 'a big deal. ''I get more time for myself,'' he smiled. ''I've only done three tests this year but I don't mind.'' He also said the Grove-based team are 'trying' to keep information about next year's car from him so that he can not share Williams' secrets with McLaren. |

also reckons Williams and BMW are 'fighting each other. ''I think the combination [of everything] gives you this kind of result.'' |
