08-13-2004 Toyota has denied it 'fired' research boss Norbert Kreyer. F1 principal Tsutomu Tomita said the claims of some reports were 'untrue. ''We reached an agreement with him,'' the Japanese explained. ''He will remain [here] until December.'' Tsutomu insisted the agreement was reached at Norbert's 'request.' On a more positive note, Olivier Panis - with a 'new' engineering team around him this week - was a sterling fifth in Friday practice at the Hungaroring. The Frenchman revealed: ''I know all the guys already.'' |
