07-23-2004 Jarno Trulli wants to stay at Renault for another year. Some had speculated a delay in negotiations with F1 boss Flavio Briatore were stalling because the affable Italian racer was entertaining Toyota's affection. The 30-year-old said an announcement either way is due 'soon. ''Things are going in the right direction,'' he told ESPN. Renault is Trulli's 'first choice' but 'we shall see,' whilst denying the argument was over money. ''In my career [I've never argued about money].'' * Jarno is still communicating with team engineers and journalists with a keyboard, and ESPN explained the problem was a 'nodule' in his vocal chord. Trulli told the media he'll have a 'short operation' in November. |
