07-09-2004 Michael Schumacher looks like he's in for a British fight. The German, in the Ferrari, was only third fastest on Friday. ''We really expected rain in the afternoon,'' he said. ''We know the competition is tough. ''However I think we're in the fight for the win.'' Technical director Ross Brawn clarified Schumacher's half-second deficit to Kimi Raikkonen by revealing he only ran 'on used tyres' in the afternoon session. * McLaren's David Coulthard targeted the podium after his F1 team-mate was quickest and the Scot, six tenths further behind, went fourth at Silverstone. ''[The podium] has to be the goal,'' he said. |
