NEWS 'Pizza Boy' doesn't deliver - Sam Michael
DRIVERS STANDING
07-25-2004

Antonio Pizzonia was criticised by Williams' technical director Sam Michael after not doing 'a good enough job' in final qualifying here at Hockenheim.

The Brazilian stand-in for Ralf Schumacher was second best in the pre-session but he's created a 'very difficult job for himself' in starting eleventh.

''We need points,'' said Australian Michael, ''so he's going to have to put his head down. I think if you look at it, [Antonio] drove too conservatively.''

There is no question at Williams that Pizzonia, 23, is considered very quick, but Sir Frank has openly scratched his head about the rookie's poise at races.

He was fired by Jaguar last year for not delivering.

''He's fast,'' Sam Michael concurred, ''but you have to deliver.''
