BAR's technical director Geoff Willis believes the 'easiest' (albeit most expensive) way to promote overtaking in grands prix is by modifying the tracks.

Sam Michael agrees tracks need slow corners into straights into slow corners. ''There should be a [requirement that tracks] feature sections like that.''

Toyota's Mike Gascoyne said Cologne would not decide who is to be Ralf Schumacher's '05 team-mate until 'probably the end of the [current] season.'

Jackie Stewart reckons the UK government spent about $4 billion on sport last year but motor sport ''did not get a penny because people think we're rich.

''Only Formula One is. The tracks can't afford to spend big money.''

BAR's helicopter could be the secret to Jenson Button's success at Silverstone. ''It can tell you exactly what the weather is doing,'' said boss Dave Richards.
