07-23-2004 Juan Pablo Montoya has not given up on winning a race this season, and the Colombian reckons his best chance might be at the Hockenheimring circuit. ''If we can get a win,'' said Williams' ace, ''it would be great - awesome.'' Montoya, 28, agrees 'every team' has closed the gap a little on Ferrari but the gap is still quite big. ''Some races,'' he continued, ''it's going to be huge. ''But [the German GP] I think will be one of the closer ones.'' Hockenheim marks a full year since Juan Pablo and BMW-Williams won a grand prix. ''I won by miles,'' he recalls of the 2003 German Grand Prix near Heidelberg. But things are starting to turn around, the Bogota-born driver added. ''It's nice to see a few more things coming on the car,'' he said, ''but there's a long way to go. At least we've now got a more normal rate of development.'' |
