![]() JOHN WALTON SILVERSTONE, ENGLAND, July 10, 2004 – The Minardi F1 Team is profoundly saddened to report that its Sporting Director, John Walton, passed away peacefully at 23:18 last night at St Thomas’s Hospital, in London, with his family at his bedside. F1 has lost a 'good guy' 07-11-2004 Formula One has lost a 'good guy.' Paul Stoddart said Minardi's sporting director John Walton died of a heart attack just before midnight on Friday at the St. Thomas Hospital in London. '''John Boy' was [once] part of our family too,'' mourned Eddie Jordan. He said the Irishman, 47, would not have wanted the Paddock 'moping around. ''But we can't help being sad. It's a great loss.'' Walton's partner was ITV 'pitlane' presenter Louise Goodman. |
