NEWS 'It reminded me of Senna' - Montoya

Juan Pablo Montoya rounded the banked corner at Indianapolis a couple of weeks ago and thought about Ayrton Senna. ''It reminded me of it,'' he admitted.

Team-mate Ralf Schumacher's BMW-Williams, with an unconscious German at the wheel, had slammed into the concrete ''but there was no-one there,'' said Juan.

He told the Telegraph: ''I thought the car had broken.

''I got on the radio and they said the car looked ok so when they told me Ralf was ok then I carried on,'' said Montoya. ''I have confidence in the team.''

On Friday at a slick Magny-Cours, it was the 28-year-old's turn to shunt.

''The car was a bit of a mess,'' he reported, ''but I'm ok - thankfully.

''It doesn't really compare to Ralf's crash, though. He had 77G going through his body backwards and I know from my days in America that really hurts.

''A change of luck would be nice.''

* Williams' FW26 is 'totally different' in France, Juan confirmed. It has the same engine ''but you can't recognise [the car]. It should be a bit better.''
