Imola
may lose GP 11-24-2004 (GMM -- Nov.24) F1 might lose 'a couple' of European events to make way for Russian and Indian grands prix, Bernie Ecclestone suggested. Despite Imola's declaration of a 'verbal' new five-year deal for the San Marino grand prix, the 74-year-old 'impresario' warned on Sunday that - if Europe was to lose a race or two - he'd pluck them from Italy and Germany. Both countries, with the European grand prix staged annually at Nurburgring (Germany), stage more than a single race per season. ''Maybe we lose two (European grands prix),'' Bernie told the Scotland on Sunday newspaper.
