| DRIVERS STANDING |
07-11-2004 The Hakk's coming back. Paddock gossip suggested it and this time old friend and McLaren boss Ron Dennis was willing to talk. ''I have met with Mika,'' he told Reuters at Silverstone. ''Honestly, I don't know [if he'll return]. I don't think Mika knows either.'' Hakkinen retired as a double world champion in '01. The 'Flying Finn' reportedly suggested the meeting to 'seek' Ron's opinion ''and he went back to Finland to consider the position,'' Dennis told reporters. Earlier rumours said Mika might test a BMW-Williams later in '04. Sir Frank Williams said the Finn, 34, did 'not necessarily' talk to his Formula One team. ''We don't talk about drivers until they're done,'' he quickly added. |
