| DRIVERS STANDING |
07-02-2004 Mark Webber has admitted he's a prime candidate to replace Ralf Schumacher from the British GP, 'but I don't know any more than you guys,' he told the media. The Australian, racing for Jaguar here at Magny-Cours, said it's 'doubtful' BMW-Williams would put the German back in the car for just the final two GPs of '04. ''I haven't had a call [from Frank Williams],'' he insisted. ''I don't know how Ralf feels or how [Williams] are going to deal with it.'' Mark, 27, is almost assured a BMW-powered race drive in 2005. He said he hasn't 'really thought about' whether grasping the opportunity and taking the seat alongside McLaren-bound Juan Pablo Montoya is a good idea. ''I've got a job to do [at Jaguar]. But of course I want to win races.'' |
