07-23-2004 Michael Schumacher believes Ferrari's Formula One rivals are 'definitely' closing the gap to make life harder at his home Hockenheimring F1 circuit. The red team are likely to wrap-up the constructors' title here in Germany but even Schumacher admits ten wins from eleven races probably 'shouldn't happen. ''But we are glad it did happen,'' smiled the German, 35. Schumacher, who has got the 'flu and is 'not 100 percent,' once again dismissed talk of retirement by insisting many at Maranello are 'not old enough' to quit. Michael added: ''We have some more years ahead of us.'' Technical director Ross Brawn, meanwhile, confessed Ferrari's empire might fall next year as Formula One looks to a new 'aerodynamic, tyre and engine' package. ''Next season's [car] would have been an evolution of [this] car,'' he told the Daily Telegraph. ''Now we have to move ten paces left and ... start again.'' |
