07-23-2004 Utter dominance at the front? Jenson Button clearly doesn't think so as he predicted a no less than five-team battle for victory here at Hockenheim. The Briton said his BAR-Honda should suit the German circuit. And other strong cars on the revised layout will be ''McLaren - it seems strange saying that - the Williams and of course the Renaults,'' according to Button. Then again, Ferrari's Michael Schumacher might run away with another. But the 24-year-old doesn't think so as the red cars wear Bridgestone tyres but Hockenheim - as in '03 - should be a ''strong Michelin circuit, like Hungary. ''The Michelin tyres, and our cars, are very good at traction,'' he added. BAR fell back a bit at Magny-Cours and Silverstone, though, however Jenson insists he's not worried. ''There are lots of things happening in the future.'' He also claims it'll be tough for McLaren, who have impressed with their 'B' version car, to keep making quantum steps towards the front of the F1 pack. ''It will be a lot of small steps [from now on],'' thinks the Englishman. |
