11-29-2004 (GMM -- Nov.29) Two former Ferrari Formula One employees will face trial for industrial espionage, an Italian magistrate has ruled. A third Ferrari man was cleared, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported, with the first hearing to be held around April next year. The two potentially culpable staff are charged with computer and CD-ROM file theft and disclosure of confidential information relating to the design of the Ferrari single-seater. One staff member, Angelo Santini, worked for Ferrari's aero department before moving to Toyota, who he left in October. Toyota insisted that 'no file' allegedly stolen by the staff member 'had been used' at Cologne. |
