| DRIVERS STANDING |
07-10-2004 Ferrari is nearly done with the F2004 car. Ross Brawn said at Silverstone that Maranello has 'already started work' on next year's car - F2005 - so development will be restricted to 'tyres and engine.' He added: ''This means the opposition could catch us up.'' Team boss Jean Todt won't say the championship is 'in the bag,' but in terms of competitiveness 'we are in a position' to prioritise next season's programme. ''We look like the favourites,'' the Frenchman smiled. ''But until it's mathematically won I will not consider it done.'' * HP has extended its BMW-Williams sponsorship for a 'multi year' period. ''HP has benefited tremendously from the relationship,'' said VP Michael Winkler. |
