07-23-2004 F1's Jenson Button would enjoy the reunion of an 'awesome foursome' of old English karting rivals at the very pinnacle of world motor sport next season. Speculation says the DTM's Gary Paffett and 'Friday' tester Anthony Davidson are vying for a seat, while Dan Wheldon started from Indy's front row weeks ago. ''It would be great to see us all in Formula One,'' said Button. Anthony and Dan are both a year older than Button. ''We started in karts when I was eight and they were nine,'' said the driver of Honda-powered F1 team BAR. ''We raced forever together, and Paffett as well.'' Jenson, 24, said the foursome were always 'head to head. ''We were at the top in those days and we're all doing pretty well [now].'' |
