07-09-2004 Jenson Button has counted himself out of the running for an '05 Williams drive. The Englishman, who started his career at Sir Frank's team more than four seasons ago, said he'll drive a Honda-powered BAR for 'the next two years. ''It's not definite,'' he told the Daily Star, ''but very likely. ''I'm definitely not moving [to Williams].'' Button, 24, claimed BAR has moved ahead of Williams in F1's pecking-order because the team ''works closely together. We're all very close here.'' * He also slammed childhood hero Nigel Mansell for branding F1 ''boring. It's not really helpful,'' said Silverstone's main hope for a win in the Brit GP. ''I think it's strange he says that and then the next day he's driving a Formula One car on Regent Street. I think Euro 2004 was pretty boring. Cricket is.'' |
