NEWS Agree to F1 changes, BAR's Willis urges
DRIVERS STANDING
07-10-2004

Geoff Willis has urged his leading Formula One colleagues to agree on proposed changes to the grand prix chassis regulations 'in the next few weeks.'

''It's critical,'' he told reporters at Silverstone.

The Technical Working Group met at the circuit on Wednesday and agreed that substantial changes 'around the diffuser' should slow lap times next season.

Willis said teams need a 'set of regulations' from which to continue designing '05 cars. ''None of the teams can afford it to be left undone any longer.''

* Toyota's 'B spec' car is ready for debut at Hockenheim in just over two weeks. ''But we're not going to move to the front in one go,'' warned Mike Gascoyne.

* Williams' FW26 has further aero bits here, ''and [there's] an aggressive development programme over the next three of four races,'' added Sam Michael.
